We started out the month moving into our new place (see previous post). We moved in April 1st with just a few things, and then moved everything else on the weekend. We had lots of help from people in our old ward, friends, and family. Once we packed the truck, Jeff & his parents went up to Bountiful to unload the truck. I stayed behind to clean our old place (I am not allowed to lift more than 20 pounds right now, so I stayed behind to do the cleaning.) My co worker Stuart was awesome and helped Jeff & his parents unload the truck. We didn't unpack everything on Saturday, but we got a lot done. It has been so great to be in our own place again!

For General Conference we get together with the Cummings side of the family. So, Jeff's parents picked us up Sunday morning and we all went to Ogden together. Jeff's aunt & uncle had just adopted 3 girls and we were able to be there when Jeff's uncle gave the girls name blessings. (Normally in our church, children receive a name and a blessing as infants. As the girls came from a non-Mormon family, they had this opportunity a little later than most). The blessings were beautiful. We were enjoyed being a part of the experience. We also enjoyed catching up with several of Jeff's cousins. There were several little ones, so I am not sure how much of conference we heard, but we went back and read the talks later.

For Easter Jeff & I will sometimes make each other easter baskets. This year Jeff forgot and I remembered (it is very rare that I remember and Jeff doesn't when it comes to gift time!) I bought him the movie red and some candy. (I bought candy we both liked, just in case he failed to buy me candy!) After our church was over we headed down to Jeff's parents and arrived before they came home from church. We decided (or I demanded..depends on how you look at it) to walk to my friend Karen's house and surprise her. She was taking a nap, so I felt bad waking her, but it was so good to catch up! Once we knew Jeff's parents would be coming home, we headed back. We didn't do much "Easter" stuff, but it was nice to spend some time with Jeff's parents. His mom made us a cute little Easter box, so I still got my reeses!

On the 26th, Jeff's aunt & uncle were sealed to their three new daughters in the Brigham City Temple. Again, the sealing was beautiful. Although, it was a different experience having children inside the Temple :). Jeff & his dad were able to be the witnesses and his mom watched the girls while they waited for the Sealing to begin. After the sealing we went to dinner with the Cummings. We went to a restaurant in Brigham City that had several buildings (various levels of dining). It took us a little while to figure out which was the right one! It was quite delicious, although meat wasn't my thing at the time, so I didn't get to enjoy it as much as everyone else.

The next day was Regional Conference. There were a LOT of stakes involved and the main session was held in the Conference Center. Our stake was one of those invited to the Conference Center. It was a great conference (although Jeff & I both may have fallen asleep for a short period). We had to park a bit of a distance from the conference center, but we were able to walk through Temple Square. The flowers were out and beautiful. After the conference was over we decided to go visit Jeff's cousin, Jackie, who lives in SLC. I think we made her late for her visiting teaching, but it was fun to catch up!

I am pretty sure we did some more stuff in April, but I can't remember right now. If I remember I will update this with more happenings & pictures.

Home #5 in 5 Years

We are still putting finishing touches on the place, but here are some pictures. It is starting to feel like home.

 Looking down the upstairs hallway. On the left is the office, next is the linen closet, and then the bathroom. Straight ahead is the master bedroom, on the right you can kind of see another hallway closet. Behind the camera is another closet. (Love how many closets there are upstairs!)

 The master bath. We have a nice big tub and a walk in shower. (Looking in from the hallway, you can see the door to the master bedroom-for some reason we use the door from the hallway more than the door from the bedroom even when we are in the bedroom. It is actually closer.)

 We have two sinks, although the way they are positioned it is hard to use them at the same time.

 The other side of the Master Bedroom. The doors straight ahead are to the 2nd closet. The door on the left is to the bathroom. (We bought a new bed and don't need our old box spring...still need to get rid of that.) I like that the room is big, but there is so much unused space here...not sure yet what to do.

We still have some work to do, but we are excited to be in our own home again. This is the fifth place that we have lived in our almost five years of marriage. Each place we have lived has been very different and we have gone through a lot in each place. (Hopefully one of these days we can settle down and not move each year!) We are excited to see what new adventures we will get into in this place!
